The job
A large advertising sign on the roof edge of a retail unit at Peninsular Retail Park, with the frame fixed back to the existing building columns.
What we did
We worked the design through with the engineer: a moment connection to the existing portal columns and a UC203 backboard. We changed the frame from three modules to six so each piece would fit the galvanising bath and the delivery lorry, and bolted them together with packers so humidity can vent.
On site
Installation ran from 4am to midday, zone by zone, using our Hiab lorry and a cherry picker, so the store kept trading all the way through.
