1. Who we are
Metallico Ltd is the controller of your personal information. Company number 07181577. Registered office: 12 Gateway Mews, Bounds Green, London N11 2UT. Workshop: Unit 8-12 Roxwell Trading Park, Argall Avenue, Leyton, London E10 7QY. Email info@metallicoltd.com, phone 020 8539 1717.
2. What we collect
- Enquiries and quotes: your name, email, phone number, postcode or site address, your message, and any drawings, sketches or photos you send by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Orders: contact and billing details, delivery and site address, site contacts, approvals, delivery notes and payment records. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not see or keep your full card details.
- Site visits and surveys: measurements and photos of the area where the steelwork goes.
- Suppliers and subcontractors: business contact details of the people we deal with.
- Our website: the technical data our host needs to run the site securely, such as IP addresses in server logs.
3. Why we use it
- To answer enquiries, quote, draw, make, deliver and install your order: to take steps before a contract and to carry out the contract.
- To keep accounts, invoices and tax records: legal obligation.
- To keep drawings, certificates and job records so our steelwork can be traced (UKCA marking under BS EN 1090): legal obligation and our legitimate interests.
- To keep sites safe and plan deliveries: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
- To show photos of steelwork we have made, without your name or address: legitimate interests. Tell us if you would rather we didn’t.
We do not sell your information. We will only send you news or offers if you have asked us to.
4. Who we share it with
Only what is needed for your job or our business:
- delivery, galvanising, powder coating and other subcontractors working on your order;
- engineers who check connections, where you ask us to arrange this;
- the service providers we use to run the business, such as email and file storage, accounts software, website hosting, payment providers and AI tools that help us prepare drawings, quotes and replies;
- our accountants, insurers and professional advisers;
- HMRC, the courts or other authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by UK-approved safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: 2 years.
- Job records (orders, drawings, certificates and correspondence): kept on file with no set end date, so we can price repeat work and trace the steelwork for the life of the building. You can ask us to delete your personal details at any time.
- Invoices and payment records: at least 6 years after the end of the financial year, as the law requires, even if you ask us to delete them.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@metallicoltd.com and we will reply within one month.
7. Complaints about your information
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at info@metallicoltd.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
